A recent article in the East Valley Tribune talks about crimes being committed in homes and the fact that Realtors are not obligated to tell potential buyers of such acts. The AZ state law and some opinions on the matter can be found in this article. As Realtors, we may not be able to disclose these crimes, but by giving buyers the Buyer's Advisory -- the BUYER is able to see where to go online to find information on crimes that may have been committed in the home or find out about sex offenders in the area, etc. The key is to know your buyers and give them the tools to find information that they would want to know about the neighborhood and home they are interested in.
